⦁ The fins on their body are akin to fingernails and do not feel pain; the ones on their arms are normally withdrawn, but can be extended and are often used in combat.

A humble child-at-heart, Jae is a nervous but loving father to his stepkids with an eccentric and kooky personality to match. He is hesitant to do anything that will put himself or his kids in danger, but would readily take a bullet for their safety. He has a lot going on deep down, apparent when having conversations with close friends, the kids and the audience, but he's surprisingly positive despite this.

Small things easily freak him out, especially losing things, and he's quite the worry wart and cry-baby at times. If he gets embarrassed, nervous or caught off guard, he will likely fumble and stutter. Over all, he has a clumsiness about him and is prone to accidents and breaking things.

He is very patient and docile, preferring to avoid fighting at all costs and will do anything in his power to avoid one. His physical strength is lacking in most areas and while generally intelligent, not an expert in most subjects(but he excels in his chosen few). His greatest strength is perhaps his passion, as well as his ability to stand up for the ones he loves. When doing that, he exhibits an inner courage and bravery that he otherwise doesn't show.

He dislikes loud music and loves popsicles.

Being a parent has proved a tough task for him at times because he always wants the kids to be happy. When his wife was alive, it was usually her job to reel in the kids and punish them for doing bad things. Jae now must take up that responsibility but he greatly dislikes it.
